Resistance & Presence

“Resistance keeps you stuck in discomfort. Presence sets you free.”
— Mastering Alchemy
This quote got me thinking… how often do I resist simply being with what is? Not because I want to struggle, but because I’m afraid that if I stop resisting, I’ll somehow lose control. Yet every time I soften into the moment — just breathe, allow, and notice — I find the opposite happens. What felt heavy starts to lighten. What I was fighting begins to move on its own.
Resistance builds walls of tension; presence opens the door to peace. The energy shifts the moment I stop trying to fix or figure it out, and instead, allow it to exist as it is.
Freedom lives in that space — the quiet exhale after letting go.
