Truth as a Gem

Guru Nanak explained, “Truth is like this gem. Many will dismiss it as worthless. But those who truly recognize it – know it is beyond price.”

Guru Nanak compared truth to a gem—brilliant, priceless, but often overlooked. Many will see it as just another stone, dismissing its worth. Yet to those who recognize its radiance, the gem becomes beyond value.

This simple metaphor carries profound meaning: truth is not made valuable by popular opinion or external recognition. Its worth is inherent. The real measure lies in our willingness to see, honor, and accept it.

Personal Value in Shared Knowledge

When knowledge is shared, it becomes an offering of light. Its value multiplies—not because everyone will accept it, but because someone will. Even if only one heart recognizes the gem, the act of sharing ensures the truth is available for discovery.

Holding back knowledge out of fear or doubt diminishes its potential. Offering it freely affirms both the gift and the giver.

Acceptance of Truth
